After four years of fighting for my Social Security Disability Insurance I won my case! It took them four years to listen to me and turned me down twice. I got a lawyer who is good with the law and also had a doctor to explain to them about my brain injury. I'm so happy that the judge understood my problem and realized that I can't work.Now I have to wait for the letter from the judge to tell me when my financial hearing will be.I know that I will get back pay from the day that I got sick. I was so nervous about the hearing. It was a piece of cake. The judge only asked me one question and I couldn't understand what he said and I asked him to repeat the question.He said that this case is cut and dry. Duh!! Just wanted to write how happy I am.

- I'm a single mother. I had cancer 10 years ago. I also had 2 strokes 5 years ago. the strokes were cause by an infection in the valve of my heart. the infection produced scar tissue in the valve and the scar tissue broke away and caused the strokes. I was 45 at the time and didn't know what was going on. It was very freaky. I thought at I had a cold and that my ears were stuffed up and that was causing my speech weird. I'm a survivor in 2 catagories.
